“In this exhibition I am exploring the interaction between sea and land. It is a transition zone, constantly changing, the power of the ocean, forcefully or gently generating a vast variety of pattern’s and colours, washing over and around land formations.  

In some painting’s I have used drone images for the different perspective they offer.

I grew up by the coast at Mordialloc and have always holidayed by the sea, Westernport or more frequently the Surf Coast swimming surfing and sailing have been regular activities. However I struggle to catch a decent wave these days. All activities that foster an appreciation of the power and beauty of the sea.

Immersing myself in this series of paintings I am attempting to capture the force, contrast and subtleties of the coast. It has given me much pleasure which I am excited to share this with others.”…Philip Adams
