“Love letters are a way to communicate feelings, often in a more personal and intimate way than casual conversation. They can be a simple note or a lengthy expression of emotion.”

My work explores the conceptual boundaries between the visible and the invisible, focusing on the emotional and psychological dimensions that shape human experience.

Drawing inspiration from the intimate act of writing love letters — a medium that communicates complex, often unspoken feelings — I translate these emotional states into visual form. Through layers of colour, gestural mark-making, and fragmented text, I seek to represent the intangible: the thoughts, sounds, and feelings that define our internal worlds yet resist direct observation.

In this way, my paintings serve as a form of non-verbal correspondence, offering a visual language for emotions such as love, fear, joy, guilt and anguish. By creating works that embody vulnerability and imperfection, I aim to invite viewers into a space of emotional reflection, where abstraction becomes a means of revealing the otherwise unseen facets of the human condition.
